Essential Safety Tips When Using Our In-Home Pet Sitting Services
Ensure Indoor Pet Safety: Window Nets and Security Gates
To ensure your pet's utmost safety during our visits, please prepare a secure home environment. We highly recommend installing sturdy window nets or balcony meshes—an absolute necessity for high-rise living in Hong Kong. Additionally, setting up safety gates (fences) near the main entrance is crucial to prevent your pet from dashing out when our pet sitter opens the door. For areas containing potentially harmful materials or chemicals, such as the kitchen or bathroom, please explicitly instruct your sitter to keep these doors firmly closed after use.
Prepare an Emergency Carrier and Vet Kit
In the event of a sudden illness or medical emergency, every second counts. Please leave a sturdy pet carrier in a highly visible and accessible location. We strongly advise placing your pet's medical card or vaccination records inside the carrier so veterinary staff can instantly access their medical history upon arrival. Additionally, consider leaving $100-$200 HKD inside the bag to cover emergency transportation costs (such as a pet-friendly taxi), ensuring the sitter can safely transport your pet to the clinic without any delay.
Designate a Reliable Emergency Contact
While our sitters are incredibly dedicated, severe unforeseen circumstances—such as extreme weather (e.g., Black Rainstorm signals) or sudden personal emergencies—could potentially prevent a sitter from reaching your home. Please designate a trusted emergency contact, ideally a neighbor, friend, or family member who lives nearby and holds a spare key. This essential backup ensures that no matter the situation, your pet will never be left without immediate care and assistance.
Secure Valuables and Install Home Security Cameras (CCTV)
All our independent pet sitters undergo a comprehensive vetting process, allowing you to use our services with confidence. In the highly unlikely event of any home security issues, we will fully cooperate and provide all necessary information to the police. However, for absolute peace of mind and simplicity, we request that you lock away your important belongings and valuables in a safe place. We also strongly encourage every pet owner to install IP cameras (CCTV) before their trip. Feel free to inform our sitters of the camera locations and request that they play with your pets within the viewing areas. This not only protects everyone but also allows you to happily monitor your furry friend's daily life while you are away!

How far in advance should I book?
To ensure we can arrange a meet & greet and secure a sitter for your preferred dates, we recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance. For major holidays (like Christmas or Lunar New Year), 1-2 months advance booking is highly recommended due to high demand.
What are the acceptable payment methods?
For your convenience, we accept FPS (Faster Payment System), PayMe, and direct Bank Transfers in Hong Kong. Payment details will be provided upon booking confirmation.
How does your cancellation policy work?
We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. Cancellations made 7 days prior to the service start date will receive a full refund. For cancellations within 7 days, please refer to our detailed terms and conditions policy.
